Our Team
Jason
Griffiths
Pastor
Bible College in London in 2003, with my wife Catriona and our young son. Since leaving, our family has grown, and we now have two daughters as well. We came back to Grimsby in 2022 to GBC. I love telling people about Jesus and opening up the Bible in different contexts, as well as getting to know people and seeing God work in the challenges we face in this broken world. I enjoy playing golf (rather badly) and snooker (a bit better) and doing DIY jobs around the house.
Matthew
Cottingham
Assistant Pastor
I’m Matthew, married to Diana and we have two adult children. I’ve served as a deacon on and off since 2015 and in ministry
to youth and children for over 20 years. In my previous role as a Probation Officer I saw the effects of a sinful and broken world which constantly reminded me that our only hope in life and death is Jesus. I was called to be Assistant Pastor in May 2025.
I'm also a fair-weather golfer and love walking and open-water swimming.
Jeremy
bass
elder
I have been part of this family at GBC since 2007, and I have had the privilege of serving in a number of ministries.
I am passionate about evangelism and been involved with many of the outreach courses that we have run over many years. The word of God is at the centre of my life and nothing gives me greater joy than sharing it with those who have not heard the gospel; to those who need help and understanding and wish to grow in their faith; and those who need to understand the peace, joy and comfort God brings through His word. I am humbled to be used by God in teaching and preaching, and also through the ministry of ‘Good News for Everyone’, giving our God’s word on the ‘highways of life’. I am married to Jude (who should be wearing medals, quite frankly) and have had a lifelong fascination with motorcars which I can’t seem to shake off!
Colin
Lamb
Elder
Colin came to know Christ as Saviour in 1962. He and Brenda later went with NTM to Papua New Guinea with their three children. He served in tribal work and then leadership there
For health reasons they came home in 1991 and sometime later went to Latvia where Colin worked with the Baptist churches in teaching, training pastors and helping set up a Latvian training centre. In 1998 he was asked to help in setting up NTM missionary training at North Cotes, serving there 10 years. Then he took a pastorate near Rugby for 10 years. After leaving there, they moved back to live in Holton-le-Clay to be near family and became involved at GBC.

We moved here to Lincolnshire in 1999, when NTM moved to its current location in North Cotes. I have worked in the Business Office handling finances & administration for NTM for the past 26 years.
Rachel
cook
secretary
I’ve had the privilege of attending GBC since babyhood and have served in children’s and youth work and with the worship team
before joining the deacons and becoming church secretary. I’m always excited to explore new ways of GBC radiating Christ’s love to all around. A member of the puppet ministry for around 20 years and travelling many miles with them, both in this country and abroad, I hope to continue, joints permitting! I’ve been married to Kevin since 1980, have 2 adult children and am blessed to be a granny. I enjoy singing in a local and regional choir and also love all things papercraft, being found regularly unravelling miles of double sided tape!
Ian
Jones
Youth & Kids' Deacon
I have been working with children for over 30 years and have been the director of the Puppet Power team since 1998,
traveling all over the UK and abroad. I am passionate about reaching out to children and families using puppets, storytelling and other creative ways to share the good news of Jesus. Married to Jenny in 1984, I enjoy gardening, water sports, running and love doing jobs around the house (or so Jenny tells me!). A recent convert to a Mariner (Grimsby Town supporter) I am finding new levels and depths of hope and despair in this latest pursuit.
