Mission
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
ROMANS 10:14-15
Puppet power
uk & overseas
Puppet Power was founded in 1998 by Ian Jones. Their mission, to present the Gospel in an exciting and relevant way to today’s society wherever they are and whatever understanding they have. We have been touring the UK performing in front of many people, promoting the Gospel and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. We have visited retirement homes, churches, schools, outdoor festivals and had the privilege of performing at the Puppet & Creative Ministry Festival on numerous occasions. Early 2008 we took a step of faith to go out to Burkina Faso in Africa. During the time there we performed 17 times in front of 1000’s of people in the space of a week. The area is a very Muslim rich environment making this a great opportunity to witness to them. This was only the beginning of Gods plan for the team and since then we have visited Burkina Faso twice more in 2010 and 2013, also Romania in 2009 and 2011 and Bulgaria in 2016. We took a team out again to Bulgaria in July 2018

steve & Moira
west africa
Steve and Moira have invested much of their lives to bringing the Good News and making disciples among a West African people group. The work started in the early 1980’s when the hitherto unwritten language was reduced to writing and linguistic analysis was done. Soon after this, the task of Bible translation and teaching was started, along with developmental projects. Currently, Bible lessons are listened to by at least a thousand people. Although the total number of believers is unknown, a number of them are being discipled through digital recordings. Steve and Moira are now based in the UK but continue their ministry of Bible translation and teaching in an itinerant capacity. Large portions of the Bible have been translated into the language; a work that continues using Zoom and WhatsApp. They visit West Africa at least once a year. The picture here was taken on a recent visit.
Anna
west africa
Anna supports missionary colleagues working amongst unreached people-groups in West Africa. This is with the goal of having a thriving church exist among every people-group. She does this by: carrying out various administrative tasks – equipping and guiding new missionaries as they learn the national language and culture – organizing short-term mission exposure trips – taking up other roles when colleagues are in their passport countries (e.g. managing the missionary organisation’s guesthouse, overseeing volunteers and associates..)
Kirsty Bosley & HEATHER STILL
Kirsty Bosley and Heather Still work for an organisation called New Tribes Mission. NTM have their own Bible School and Missions training centre in North Cotes, Lincolnshire and due to the many families that come to train there they have their own Nursery for children aged 0-4. Kirsty and Heather both work at the nursery as manager and deputy manager. Kirsty was born in England and her parents moved to NTM when she was 10 years old. After school she studied childcare in college and then took a gap year as a volunteer in Noah’s Ark Nursery followed by a year in Thailand and Cambodia. She completed New Tribes’ training in 2013 before working full time at Noah’s Ark Nursery and later taking on the role of manager. Kirsty joined GBC at the age of 18 and is involved in Sunday School and welcoming at the door. Heather was also born in England, her parents moved to North Cotes when she was one year old. She studied childcare in Franklin College and after working for a year in a local primary school she decided to volunteer in Noah’s Ark Nursery. After 2 years of volunteering she became the deputy manager. Heather has attended GBC for most of her life and is involved in Crèche, making tea & coffee and welcoming at the door.
